Have you ever wondered what the little town of Bethlehem was like all those years ago? Although Jesus was born on a silent night, daytime in Bethlehem was a busy time. The streets were bustling with merchants and townspeople in the marketplace buying and selling goods like spices, cloths and food. The Worship Ministry Team at Faith Lutheran recreated that marketplace scene before the Advent service on Wed. Dec. 7, complete with Biblical costumes. The marketplace experience even included a census taker to document the attendees, as ordered by Ceasar Augustus.
Below, enjoy some pictures taken from the Bethlehem marketplace.
