Minnesota is not just the land of 10,000 lakes – we’re also home to more than 20,000 nonprofits, including many in the Hutchinson area, Faith Lutheran Church being one of them. Last year, Minnesotans gave $16.3 million to nonprofits and schools on Give to the Max Day through the GiveMN website. This year, you can make a difference by donating to Faith Lutheran Church.
Local nonprofit organizations have had success in fundraising on Give to the Max Day. One raised $760 on the day in 2011, which prompted them to set a goal of $2,000 in 2012. Generous giving surpassed that goal, and the organization took in $6,165 last year. Our church is active online and in social media, so it makes sense for us to try Give to the Max Day for the first time this year.
All money raised through the Give to the Max Day donations to Faith Lutheran will be used for our church’s commitment to support the 2014 mission trip to Cortez, Colorado.
Remember to visit Faith Lutheran’s GiveMN page on or before November 14, Give to the Max Day. Early contributions will be counted toward Give to the Max Day. Also, pass this along to your friends.
