Imagine the smile on a young girl’s face when she is presented with a new dress created by loving hands half a world away. You can help put that smile on young girls’ faces in Africa by sewing a pillowcase dress.
Using only a pillowcase and a couple pieces of accent fabric, Faith Members are creating easy dresses to send to girls an ocean away who will cherish them. Several example dresses for this mission project are on display now in the Faith Lutheran gathering area.
If you’d like to sew a pillowcase dress, contact Dorothy Desens at 587-8777. She’ll get you instructions for sewing and donating a dress. We’re also accepting donations of pillowcases, used or new, in the church office.
