As our collection for Operation Christmas Child comes to an end, and donated Christmas gifts in shoe boxes are shipped to children in countries around the world, we would like to say thank you to all who participated in the mission project. Donations poured in over the last several weeks, with many giving completed boxes, items to pack, extra boxes and cash gifts for shipping. Thank you also to the senior volunteers and the Release Time students (2nd – 5th grade children who come to church Wednesday mornings for an hour to learn more about their faith and grow in fellowship with one another). The two groups packed boxes on Wed. Nov. 7. The seniors prepared a cafeteria-style packing stations from which the children assembled the gift boxes.
