Wednesday’s Word

December 31, 2014 By Faith

Today’s Wednesday’s Word comes from Jayden J.

“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Even if you are struggling, know that the Lord has a plan for you. His plan will give you hope, and a future. #StayStrong

Bible

AP Theology Student Sam Ellefson says his favorite Bible verse is:

23 Then he said to them all, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will save it. 25 What does it profit them if they gain the whole world, but lose or forfeit themselves?  Luke 9: 23-25

You can submit your favorite verse to wendym@faithlc.com

“Wednesday’s Word”

Bible

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; 3 he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff— they comfort me 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long. Psalm 23: 1-6

12th grader from AP Theology, Noah Ostlund’s favorite passage is this Psalm, because they heard it almost every day at Our Saviors. He said at first it was just a routine, but as he got older, he started to understand it more and found it was really comforting.

We are sharing some favorite Staff Bible Verses here but would love for you to submit your favorites to be shared as well.

You can submit them to wendym@faithlc.com

““You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”- Genesis 50:20

So often I don’t know what God’s purposes are, but when bad things happen, I know one thing… that he is taking the ugly things of my life and using them for good. – Gladys Bonnema

New to Faith?

Building FAITH is the mission statement for Faith Lutheran Church, and it’s much more than just a slogan. You can see by all the ministries described on this website that God is Building FAITH in this church. It describes the amazing work God has done through our church through the years. It conveys our trust that God will amaze us even more in the future. It also calls all of us in this family of Faith to invest ourselves in the mission of bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to a world broken by sin. Continue Reading
