Summertime blues stand no chance Tuesday afternoons when middle school youth from most of the churches in town gather on the softball fields behind the Rec Center to play kickball.
It’s a game where score counts are probably close to right, trick pitches aren’t tolerated and everyone gets a chance to play. And, thankfully, youth ministry leaders from around Hutchinson are on hand to umpire the games.
Every week has a different number of youth in attendance; there were about 25 on the day the photos below were taken .
If you or someone you know wants to play, just show up at 1 p.m. on a Tuesday behind the Rec Center. No experience necessary. If it’s raining they play inside the Rec Center. All youth going into 6th grade through completed 8th grade are welcome. Come have fun! Contact Dave Wollan with questions.
