The seventh and eighth grade confirmation students from Faith Lutheran took part in Trick or Treating for the McLeod County Food Shelf on Wed. Oct. 26. After going door-to-door and collecting non-perishable food products, the groups met at the McLeod County Fairgrounds to weigh and sort the donations.
The youth collected more than 9,000 pounds of food. That equals about one week’s need at the McLeod County Food Shelf — a great reminder of the importance of giving as the holiday season draws near.
Thank you to all the youth and adults who participated and helped make this event so successful!
