2017 Solar Eclipse – This rare astronomical event will take place on Monday, August 21 from approximately 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Come to Faith and meet in the parking lot for music, games and treats all while watching the eclipse and learning a bit about this phenomenon. Special viewing glasses will be provided as well as the materials to make your own eclipse viewer. This will be a great event for all ages. Come out and make an afternoon of it or stop in for just a little while. This event is open to the public so bring a friend, bring the family or just come out on your own. Feel free to share this event with others who may be interested and PLEASE RSVP to the church office at [email protected] or call 320-587-2093 so that we can plan to have enough supplies on hand for everyone.
Middle School Mystery Bus Aventure
This group of middle school students spent four days of their summer on a local mission trip/mystery adventure.
The first half of each day was spent on a service projects: Feed My Starving Children, Local Hutchinson Community Service Projects, Project Linus – Blanket Making, and working with the ECHO Food Shelf.
The second half of each day was an adventure: Rock Climbing, Tubing, Valley Fair and the Kato Escape Rooms.

Paraphrase Theatre – Jonathan Swenson Presents
Swenson is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College (B.A. in Psychology, Theater and Music, 1988) and Luther Seminary (Master’s of Divinity, 1994). As an ordained pastor, he has served parishes in IA and MN for nearly 20 years. As a professional Christian actor and speaker, and the founding director of Paraphrase Theatre, Swenson travels throughout the country speaking and performing at churches, national conferences, camps, retreats, and other special events.
His regional theatre credits include such roles as Tevye (Fiddler on the Roof), Daddy Warbucks (Annie) and Nathan Detroit (Guys and Dolls). Jonathan will be at Faith on Wednesday December 9 for three performances.
He will be performing Celebrate the Child at 1 p.m. in the Faith Center. The performance will be preceded by a potluck lunch at noon. You are invited to attend one or both events.
The second performance of Celebrate the Child will be at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Jonathan will also be doing a performance of The Witness at approximately 7:45 p.m. in the Foundation for area youth.
The public is invited to attend any or all of these performances.
