Thank you for supporting the 3rd High-5 offering in July. Gifts received were more than enough to cover the mission trip deficit caused by so many young people participating!
Other income has allowed the church to retire more of the operating debt from past years. The remaining amount owed is now less than half of the original amount (from $144,000 down to $67,000) and we are paying that off at a faster rate than ever.
Last year’s annual meeting set aside some extra dollars (yes, the church ended up with a little more than its budget!) for “ministry surprises” that might arise during the year (visionary projects not included in the annual budget). The six ministry teams that oversee Faith’s ministry have been challenged to think creatively and discern how that money might be turned into ministry (or mission). The church council will then select the best plans to pursue Christ’s mission here at Faith.
Who knew that church finances could be this much fun?! Thank you again for putting the resources God has given you to work for Christ’s kingdom through Faith Lutheran Church.
